Project Overview

When Liverpool City Council saw the need to refurbish the roof of Allerton Library, for the long term protection of the literature and modern facilities beneath, BBR Roofing won the contract to carry out the works.

The manufacturer specification provided on behalf of the Council called for the removal of the existing roof covering and its replacement with a new high performance bituminous membrane system, incorporating thermal insulation, from Icopal, while retaining the original screeded wood-wool decking.

New white upvc fascia boards were installed to replace the rotting plywood fascias, and along with a new black grp edge trim, provide a fresh clean appearance to the external elevations.
