Project Overview

The Boots store in Coleraine, had numerous waterproofing defects to both the existing built up felt waterproofing and cladding. BBR roofing has used their extensive knowledge and expertise to refurbish the roofing envelope of this store, at the same time still maintaining store trading.

BBR roof went back to basics on this project by stripping back the exterior coverings to the original structure, which was extremely challenging consid-ering the logistics of the store. All the existing waterproofing and asbestos-cement cladding was removed before introducing a new waterproof felt membrane and composite cladding system.

An Index Total waterproofing system incorporating vapour barrier, thermal insulation, underlay and mineral surface cap sheet, all torch-applied was installed to the flat roof areas.

The existing asbestos-cement vertical cladding was removed and re-placed with a new Kingspan RW composite cladding panel.
