Project Overview

When it became time to renew the old tiled roof of this local parish curch, [client] opted for a durable and robust roof covering in metal, but with the aesthetic appearance of traditional tiles.

BBR Roofing were contracted to carry out the works, which involved the complete removal of the old tiled roof covering, installation of a new vapour permeable underlay, counter-battens, tile battens and a new outer covering of Decra profiled metal tiles.

The tiles, which each give a cover area of 1260 x 368mm, are quick to install by comparison with traditional tiling and coped well with the intricate detailing on this steep pitched roof.

Pre-formed valley linings, barge trims and ventilated ridge pieces completed the installation.
The completed roof covering has 40 year life expectancy.
